What SKINMODU is and what the name means
SKINMODU is an information site that gathers, with sources, the facts you need to make a choice, from skin procedures to skincare products.
The name SKINMODU combines SKIN with the Korean word “modu” (모두), which means “all”. The name carries the idea of looking at the many questions and facts about skin in one place.
Who writes it and what we do not do
The person who writes SKINMODU opens and reads the records of Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) and the published studies directly, and explains what was read and what could not be read.
- We do not write about personal experience of having a procedure or visiting a clinic.
How the articles are checked
Each SKINMODU article is written after checking the source material directly, and it separates what was confirmed from what could not be confirmed.
- We check the MFDS approval records and the published studies.
- We separate what the approval records and studies confirm from what we could not confirm from the material.
- We state the date of each check in the article.
- We use AI tools (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI Codex, Google Gemini) to assist with writing and review. The standard for judging facts is always the approval records and the original papers.
Where the money comes from
SKINMODU takes no payment of any kind from clinics. We do not recommend or rank clinics.
Affiliate links for skincare products appear only in articles about choosing a product. Skincare articles may link to stores that pay us a commission. Any such article says so in its first line, and each link is marked (affiliate). Products without links are covered by the same standard.
What this site is not
This site is not medical advice. This site does not practice medicine, and nothing written here replaces a medical consultation or the instructions of your medical professionals.
How corrections are made
